You are invited to become a Bowers Museum Member and join us at our virtual Books at Bowers discussion of, "Disney's Land" by Richard Snow.
Disney’s Land by Richard Snow is a fascinating account of Disneyland from its creative conception to the innovative construction of the park. It is a thoroughly enjoyable book to read and pairs well with the Bowers' current special exhibition, Inside the Walt Disney Archives: 50 Years of Preserving the Magic. Several items showcased in the exhibit are from Disneyland, including the first admission ticket sold on opening day in 1955. That ticket was purchased by Roy Disney, Walt’s brother, and the admission price was $1.00.
