Newport Beach, California (Tuesday, July 14, 2015) – On Friday, July 31, 2015, a new speaker series will be introduced to Orange County’s women business leaders that will encourage them to take off their make-up, figuratively speaking, and explore their authentic selves. “The Brand New You – What’s Behind the Makeup” is the first of the Leadership in Heels speaker series facilitated by Scharrell Jackson, CFO of Squar Milner in Newport Beach. A survivor of domestic violence, Jackson has a heart for helping women to be true to themselves while also being dynamic leaders in their professional, personal and community life. Jackson started the Leadership in Heels series to bring woman together in an environment where they can openly discuss the challenges in leadership and what it means to become most authentic versions of themselves. 

The event will be held at the Pacific Club in Newport Beach from 7am to 9am and will include table discussions, breakfast and goodie bags for each attendee. A portion of the proceeds raised from the event will go to Human Options, a charitable organization which provides safety, healing, and a way forward to victims of domestic violence in Orange County.
