The students will learn how to draw in one point perspective, two point perspective, and three point perspective.  The students will learn basic line drawing techniques like contour drawing, cross-contour drawing, hatching and cross-hatching.  The students will learn about different kinds of pencils, charcoal pencils, and charcoal.  The students will learn basic value drawing with gray scale chalk pastels on black and gray paper.  The students will learn the basic proportions of portrait drawing in different perspectives, as well as how to draw individual features.  The students will complete a portrait drawing with shading.  The students will learn the basic proportions of drawing a figure, gesture drawing, and drawing of specific features like hands and feet.  The students will complete a figure drawing with shading.  The students will learn the basics of color theory.  The students will draw objects in different color schemes.  The students will complete some copies of color works to learn how to mix colors.
