The Mark Davidson Trio, with guitarist Ron Eschete, is a long-time Newport Beach-based jazz/pop group playing Fridays indefinitely at The Tee Room, 3100 Irvine Ave., Newport Beach, CA. 7:30pm to 11:30, casual dress OK most Fridays, except 8/28, 9/18 and 10/30. Guest musicians & singers are often included with the show primarily the band playing Jazz/Pop & Blues Standards & Originals, with an emphasis on improvisation, and musical fun.

THIS FRIDAY'S SPECIAL GUEST PERFORMERS are Blume & Huffey, superb tap dancers. He’s mild-mannered journalist Howard Blume by day, but at the hint of a jazz riff his sensible wingtips magically become these formidable tap shoes on which he will join his partner Rhoda Huffey & fly with the music of the Trio & guitarist Ron Eschete. Mr. Blume’s choreography of the nuances of jazz melodies, riffs & rhythms is exhirarating. The tap duo’s four pieces will be presented 2 each in sets 1 & 2 and all four will be presented in the 3rd set. The band will perform its own usual but sometimes surprising improvisations.
