The Upside is one of LA’s premier classical/jazz cross-over ensembles, and were recently named winners of the 2014 Beverly Hills Competition. Three graduates of the country’s top conservatories have come together to collaborate on music from Bach to Brubeck. The Upside combines a classical sensitivity with contemporary harmonies and improvisation. Their unique timbres set them apart from a standard jazz trio.
Recent appearances include a feature at the Zipper Concert Hall with guest soloist Jim Walker, the CBS sound stage, the JAM! 2013 Festival, and the Andrew Weiss Gallery in Beverly Hills.

The concerts are free with Museum admission. Museum admission is $7/adult and $5/senior & student; free for Museum members. The Museum’s doors are open from 5pm to 9pm every Thursday and once a month Laguna Beach Live! will bring in talented musicians to perform classical and contemporary chamber music, 7pm to 8pm.
