The "Discoveries" series from OC Playwrights Alliance aids the development of new theatrical works through lightly-rehearsed staged readings for a non-paying audience; allowing the playwright the chance to test the impact of a script-in-progress without sacrificing their premiere production status.

For the summer of 2020, OCPA has moved the series on-line, bringing together directors and actors from the local theatre community to perform readings over the Zoom platform. For a limited time, these readings will be available for free viewing on the OCPA YouTube Channel.

Summer 2020 Discoveries selections are:

"Pete & Steve", a one-act play by Dana Hammer

"The Impersonator", a 10-minute play by Arthur Kraft

"Tears in the Rain", a one-act play by Jordan R. Young
