Presented by Center for Living Peace at Unknown

Eva Wong, author and expert in the Taoist arts of health, will be here at the Center for a special two day event this month!  Using her new book, "Being Taoist," she will discuss how to incorporate Taoist practices both in the community and everyday life. Eva will teach us how living a Taoist lifestyle enhances health, inner peace, and social harmony.

Saturday, October 24th // 10:00am - 5:00pm
Being Taoist in the Community

Family and neighborhood form the foundation of society. Celebrations and rituals reaffirm our trust and respect for our place in a harmonious social world. Join Taoist author and practitioner Eva Wong in exploring and engaging in the sacred environment of family, neighborhood, and the spirit world.

Using Eva's new book "Being Taoist", we will see how ancient cultures honor the bond between visible and invisible beings through sacred ritual, as well as explore how urban design can strengthen family and neighborhood, giving new meaning to our relationship to worlds known and unknown.

Sunday, October 25th // 1:00pm - 5:00pm
Being Taoist in Personal Life

Living a Taoist lifestyle enhances health, inner peace, and social harmony. In this program, Eva Wong shares her techniques and experience on Taoist practices including meditation, qigong, tea appreciation, diet, and discussion of how to balanced our public, domestic, private, and spirit life from her newest book "Being Taoist". Participating in public life develops social responsibility, community awareness, and respect for our natural environment. Domestic life allows to fully enjoy the company of friends, family, and lovers. Private or inner life gives us a window to the vastness of our consciousness and appreciation of internal energy. Spirit life connects us to the magical and sacred world that is the essence of our existence. This program shows participants how to engage fully in these four aspects of living.

*Please note that although this event is two days, you are able to purchase tickets for one specific day or both for a discounted price.
