Learn and explore choreography and create your own dance that will be showcased in a performance at the end of Dance Choreography Intensive for Teens. Participants will work one-on-one with a mentor to create original dance pieces.

Through this experience, students discover new paths to accessing their creativity and transforming their relationship with dance and movement.

​YCP prides itself on meeting our students where they are at. We enjoy working with students who are new to dance as well as more experienced dancers. We are committed to making our programs accessible to students of all backgrounds.

During our Dance Choreography Intensive for Teens, students participate as a Young Choreographer. Each Young Choreographer is matched with a dance professional who guides them through the process of creating an original dance piece. At the end of the program, we work with the Young Choreographers to produce a fully-staged performance that showcases the dances created. The YCs get to experience what it’s like to present their work for a public performance.
