The Festival Singers of Orange County, led by Artistic Director Gary Toops, opens its 2015-2016 season with “A Taste of the Holidays.” The concert evokes the magic of the season with fresh and familiar arrangements of holiday music, and opportunities for carol sing-alongs. Guest harpist Liska Yamada brings special flavor to the program. Ms. Yamada has a Masters degree from Peabody Conservatory. She resides in Hollywood, where she performs for variety of special events and studio recordings. As a member of the University of Arizona’s HarpFusion, she performed at the International Harp Festival in Rio de Janeiro and at the World Exposition in Shanghai, China. Following the program is a reception with delicious holiday confections provided by Plumeria Cake Studio of Mission Viejo.

The Festival Singers is a California non-profit organization in its 34th season of “Sharing the Joy of Music.” The group presents several public concerts each season and has sung at Carnegie Hall in New York, Disneyland, Angel’s Stadium and for numerous service and community organizations throughout Southern California. Gary Toops is the Artistic Director and Carol Roman the pianist.
