Outstanding in the Field

Outstanding in the Field

Presented by Laguna Art Museum at Unknown

In its Art & Nature festival (November 5-8), Laguna Art Museum presents a variety of exhibitions, programs, events, and activities on the theme of art’s multi-faceted engagement with the natural world. Once again we kick off the Art & Nature festival with a beach dinner by Outstanding in the Field.

Outstanding in the Field is a roving culinary adventure. The creation of artist Jim Denevan, Outstanding in the Field stages outdoor dining experiences across the country, reconnecting guests to nature and the origins of their food while honoring local cultivators and providers. In Laguna Beach they will seat over a hundred people at a single table on Main Beach. This unique experience unites local farmers and food artisans, chefs and winemakers, to celebrate the region’s best in food, wine, and farming.

This year’s dinner is the creation of Chef Clark Staub, the visionary behind Full of Life Flatbread, a farm-to-table, locally sourced, restaurant in Los Alamos outside of Santa Barbara. In addition to his acclaimed restaurant, Staub has baked on site at events such as the Emmy Awards, the Coachella Music & Arts Festival, and at Hearst Castle. Laguna Art Museum is proud to have Clark Staub as the featured chef at this year’s Outstanding in the Field dinner. The menu will be paired with featured wines provided by the highly acclaimed Habit Wine Company, which is based throughout the Santa Barbara County and emphasizes a strong commitment to farming using sustainable, organic, and bio-dynamic practices.

Last year’s dinner sold out in a few days and was such an unforgettably magical occasion that demand for tickets this year is bound to be intense. Do not miss this unique opportunity to partake in a magical, unforgettable occasion.

Generously hosted by Hotel Laguna. Proceeds benefit Laguna Art Museum’s exhibition and education programs.
