Musco Center Community Open House & Arts Festival

Discover Musco Center for the Arts, Southern California’s newest gem, with a day full of free performances — indoors and out! This Open House & Arts Festival will include backstage tours, stage tech demonstrations, children’s activities, food and fun. There’ll be a showcase performance by the students and ensembles of Chapman’s College of Performing Arts at 4pm and, to wrap everything up in spectacular style, a 7:30pm concert by Orange County’s own Pacific Symphony, conducted by Carl St.Clair, performing Beethoven’s Fifth, with internationally acclaimed pianist Grace Fong of Chapman’s Hall-Musco Conservatory of Music performing the Grieg Piano Concerto. All of it will highlight the glorious acoustics of Musco Center’s Julianne Argyros Concert Hall and the beauty and versatility of the outdoor Bette and Wylie Aitken Arts Plaza. Orange County's own acclaimed orchestra, Pacific Symphony, and conductor Carl St.Clair take the Musco Center stage with Beethoven’s majestic Fifth Symphony. They’ll be joined by internationally acclaimed concert pianist Grace Fong of Chapman’s music faculty performing the Grieg Piano Concerto. It all combines to truly show off the glorious acoustics of Julianne Argyros Orchestra Hall and put the state-of-the-art orchestral shell through its paces. A not-to-be-missed historical first performance by Pacific Symphony at Chapman – let this renowned orchestra show you that classical music can truly be spelled F-U-N! Free – but tickets are required for admission!
