"The Alice Project" is a topsy turvy, nonsensical autobiographical glimpse into the controversial relationship of Charles Dodgson and Alice Liddell which was long steeped with conjecture and whispered rumors as an inappropriate liaison. Charles Dodson, (under the pseudonym of Lewis Carroll) immortalized Alice Liddell in a book written to his young muse called "Alice's Adventures Underground," which would eventually become the beloved timeless classic, "Alice in Wonderland."
In "The Alice Project," Charles Dodgson, the Liddell family, Alice in Wonderland and many of the other characters from the famed novel investigate and confront each other and place Carroll's and Liddell's relationship on trial. Was Lewis Carroll simply the "Knave of Hearts" wrongfully accused, or should we heed his detractors calls who shout, "Off with his head!"?
"The Alice Project" is a presentation of Grades 7, 8, and 9 from the Acting Conservatory of the Orange County School of the Arts. Directed by Peter Uribe.
