South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut - Sing-Along

Presented by Frida Cinema, The at Frida Cinema, The

The Frida Cinema joins the Segerstrom Center for the Arts in bringing our community a musical cinematic experience that will not soon be forgotten – SOUTH PARK: BIGGER LONGER & UNCUT SING-ALONG!

Trey Parker and Matt Stone’s hit TV show hits the big screen in this 1999 Oscar-nominated comedy smash, featuring Stan, Kyle, Kenny, Cartman, and a huge cast of series regulars in their most epic – and equally absurd – adventure yet! When the boys see an R-rated Canadian movie, they become fountains of profanity, leading Kyle’s mom Sheila to lead the rest of the parents in pressuring the United States to wage war against Canada! With the stage set for World War III, it’s up to the boys to save their comedy heroes Terrence and Phillip before antagonists from every side – including Satan and his lover Saddam Hussein – destroy Terrence and Philip, an act that will mean the end the world as we know it!

Thanks to our friends at Segerstrom Center for the Arts, we will be presenting two opportunities to see this film, with an earlier show at 7:30pm as well as a 10pm show for late-night-cinema crowd, as you’ve never seen it before – with lyrics right in your hands (for those who don’t already have them memorized… you know who you are…), free to join folks around you as you SING ALONG at the top of your lungs!!

Rated R for “pervasive vulgar language and crude sexual humor, and for some violent images” – viewer discretion definitely advised!  Directed by Trey Parker.  81 Minutes

“Profane, blasphemous and absolutely hilarious, Bigger, Longer & Uncut is easily the funniest of all the high-profile comedies released this year!” –  Ernest Hardy, Film.com

“The year’s most slashing political commentary is not in the new films by Oliver Stone, David Lynch or John Sayles, but in an animated comedy about obscenity.” – Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times

“A more clever diversion than anyone had any right to expect!” – Dennis Harvey, Variety
