Bowers Museum presents the encore of our exclusive pre-recorded lecture, Historical insights into the Black Experience in Santa Ana and Greater Orange County by Dylan Almendral, a historian and author.
This presentation will shine light on the experience of Black Americans in Orange County from the formation of the county and 1889 to the turbulent 1960s to current day. The community of Little Texas will be discussed, as will the various characters throughout the history of Orange County who opened doors and paved the way for people of color to live free in this part of Southern California.
