Why should I audition?
A path to college – 100% of The Wooden Floor’s graduates finish high school on time and immediately enroll in higher education:

Free dance education and performance opportunities
Free tutoring and college and career readiness workshops
Referrals to free community resources and access to parent workshops
The Wooden Floor is dedicated to serving students with financial need at no charge.

We are looking for students who:
Demonstrate enthusiasm and a love for movement
Are in the 3rd through 5th grade and 8 to 10 years old on or before October 31, 2020
Have financial need

What is The Wooden Floor?
Founded in 1983, The Wooden Floor is one of the foremost creative youth development nonprofit organizations in the country. We transform the lives of young people in low-income communities through:

Intensive dance education
College and career readiness programs
Family support program

Children do not need any dance experience, and should not have anything prepared for the audition.

These Auditions will be held virtually via Zoom. Children must be in the presence of a parent or guardian and should wear comfortable clothing. Children should be barefoot or in socks during the audition.
