Composer/pianist Michael D. Mortilla (featured on Turner Classic Movies) presents a rare screening of Alfred Hitchcock’s first film effort, The White Shadow (1924). Hitchcock was assistant director, editor, scenic designer, and wrote the title cards for this intriguing story of identical twins, played by Betty Compson. Opening the program will be Won In a Cupboard (1914). Mabel Normand directs, stars, and wrote this nonstop, riotous slapstick comedy. Mortilla performs his own scores to these classic silent films. -Presented by Michael Mortilla/ Presented by Opus Bank
