Kathleen Supové performing west coast and world premieres of works by Arlene Sierra, Randall Woolf, Mary Kouyoumdjian, and Nicole Lisée (with video). Eleonor Sandresky, performing Etudes of the 21st century by Philip Glass and Eleonor Sandresky.

California State University, Fullerton's School of Music, Interarts Collaborative Projects and Dr. Pamela Madsen, artistic director, are pleased to present the 2016 New Music Festival: Sound, Healing and Light: Ancient and Contemporary Practices. The multi-day festival features workshops, masterclasses, lectures, and nightly concerts.

This year’s festival celebrates the theme of Sound, Healing and Light: Ancient and Contemporary Practices featuring the Northern Lights-Music of composers Anna Thorsvaldsdottir,  Arvo Part, Kaija Saariaho and Pamela Madsen. Performers include loadbang, pianists Kathleen Supove and Eleonor Sandresky, Los Angeles Percussion Quartet, Divan Consort, and the CSUF New Music Ensemble.

The festival will be held in conjunction with the 6th Annual Collaborative Arts Symposium, featuring video and new music works by students of professor of photography, Julie Orser, and Pamela Madsen on Tuesday, May 10th in the Recital Hall.

Single Tickets: $15 ($13 Titan)
Titan prices for advance sales only (students, senior citizens age 62+, & CSUF staff, faculty, Alumni Association, OLLI, & support group members).

NOTE: Discounts offered on advance purchases-ONLY. Regular-priced tickets are sold immediately prior to a performance.

The Box Office located on the southwest corner of the Clayes Performing Arts Center. Free 15-minute parking is available off Arts Drive near the Box Office. Parking on weekends is free starting at 5 pm, Fridays. At all other times, daily permits are required and can be purchased for $8 upon entering the parking structure/lots.
