President's Week Camp

Presented by Environmental Nature Center at Environmental Nature Center

Educational outdoor fun for campers in K – 6th grade

Each day, campers (divided into small groups by age) will rotate between three fabulous Camp Teachers, where they will participate in exciting, age appropriate hands-on activities.  Campers will go on a “Native American Adventure” and travel back in time to learn about the tools, trade, and customs of the native people of California. They will make string out of plants, learn to weave, listen to stories, and perform music using authentic Native American instruments. During “Nature Play”, campers will be given the freedom to explore, imagine, and make up their own fun.  They will be given boundaries, a few supplies, a set of ground rules, and supervision.

Full day campers will do some “Nature Crafting” and make stick frames and stick ground art, then photograph their creations. We’re especially excited about making rainbow batik too! They’ll get messy making air dry clay bowls and tiny pots, then finish off the week by building tents with sheets and tarps! More info and registration at encenter.org
