Engineer's Week

at Discovery Cube Orange County

Tinkers and builders of all ages! You are invited to Discovery Cube to celebrate National Engineer’s Week! Future engineers will enjoy a week of exploring, creating, and building with hands-on activities in various fields of engineering. Activities and special events include: Design and build a block tower and Cantenary Arch; Build and test a parachute with daily prizes for the longest “hang time;” and build a snap circuit! The weeklong events include the Parachute Drop where you can put your engineering skills to the test, the Catenary Arch to build a free standing arch and learn how it can remain standing without addition support, the Cube Jr. Imagination Playground where children can build their own playground out of giant foam and the “Engineer It!” Stage Demo where kids can learn helpful scientific tips to help in your creation for the Egg Drop Competition. Also, learn how to build the tallest towers using only wood blocks!

You also won’t want to miss your chance to join the annual Egg Drop Competition that will be held on February 27 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.! Bring your homemade ETV (egg transport vehicle) and put it to the ultimate test as it drops from 20 feet in the air.
