Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s Into the Woods, the deliciously dark comedy presented by On the Edge Theatre Productions, opens Friday, February 26.

Fractured fairytales come to life in this timeless and relevant Tony Award winning musical. A childless baker and his wife endeavour to lift their family curse by journeying into the woods, where they are met by a host of Grimm Brothers characters. Everyone in the story has a wish- and in true fairytale fashion, their wishes are granted- but what they have to do to get their wished is a whole different story! Into the Woods offers a glimpse of what happens after "happily ever after".

Started in 2005, On the Edge Theatre Productions first found its home renting performance spaces from the Saddleback Valley School District. From 2009-2010 the first full season of shows was put together, seeing an exponential growth in participants and audiences. OTE is currently in partnership with the Laguna Hills Community Center. On the Edge strives to be a theater serving the whole community of Orange County.
