Veteran's Initiative (Encore Perf)

Presented by Chance Theater at Chance Theater, Bette Aitken Theater Arts Center

After a six-week program that began on October 2, 2015, moderated by Chance Co-Education Director Karen O'Hanlon and other Chance Artists, a group of American veterans performed an original piece that they wrote in order to share their personal experiences, and what it means to them to be a veteran. Originally premiered on Veteran's Day on November 11, 2015, this group of amazing men and women will be performing their piece again during the annual 24-hour Chance-a-thon.

The objective of this program is to empower and honor our soldiers by providing them with an outlet to express themselves creatively. This program was originally made possible through the support of Arts Orange County and the California Arts Council ad well as Veteran's First.

Our Veteran's initiative in the Arts confirms the Chance's mission to use the transformative power of live theater to create a more compassionate, connected and creative community.
