Orange County Music & Dance (OCMD) invites members on active duty in the U.S. military or a U.S. military veteran to participate in Operation Gig.

Family members including your spouse, children, or grandchildren over age 16 are also eligible, if each meets the requirements and there is space available in the band to which you are assigned.

LEARN - Instrument technique, posture and sound production as well as reinforcing music concepts and note reading. Weekly classes will include individual coaching and group activities. (8 week group class, 60 minutes - classes meet once a week)

JAM - sessions are for instrumentalists who want to play and improve their skills while enjoying the support and friendships of fellow musicians. This is a low pressure class where all abilities and levels are welcome.  Monthly signups (60-90 minutes -Jam sessions meet once a week)

BAND - each band will have a professional coach to help in song selection, rehearsal techniques, and practice exercises. A volunteer will also help coordinate transportation, copies of scores, etc.  Onsite 8-week rehearsals
Ensembles of 4–10 musicians, 90-minute rehearsals once a week at the OC Great Park, Professional coaching plus
