University Wind Symphony

Presented by CSU Fullerton - College of the Arts at Meng Concert Hall, Cal State Fullerton

The University Wind Symphony, acclaimed for its broad repertoire and excellence, performs contemporary music by important American composers such as Kraft, Grantham, Welcher, Husa, and Ticheli as well as the traditional concert band music of Sousa, Holst and Vaughn Williams. Under the direction of Dr. Mitchell J. Fennell, the ensemble is comprised of the finest wind studies majors in the School of Music, and has performed throughout the world. Recent tours include a 10 day tour to Portugal in Summer, 2011. The Wind Symphony partook in three performances including a performance in Lisbon sponsored by the US Embassy and culminated with a performance with one of Portugal's most highly regarded bands in the city of Alcochete. Additional tours include the Jeju International Band Festival in South Korea, and the Japan Band Director’s Association annual clinic at Nemo-No-Sato. The Wind Symphony has also performed numerous times for the College Band Directors National Association Regional Conference and the California Band Directors Annual Convention.

(1 Music Pass credit) Single Tickets: $10 ($8 Titan)
Titan prices for advance sales only (students, senior citizens age 62+, & CSUF staff, faculty, Alumni Association, OLLI, & support group members).

NOTE: Discounts offered on advance purchases-ONLY. Regular-priced tickets are sold immediately prior to a performance.

The Box Office located on the southwest corner of the Clayes Performing Arts Center. Free 15-minute parking is available off Arts Drive near the Box Office. Parking on weekends is free starting at 5 pm, Fridays. At all other times, daily permits are required and can be purchased for $8 upon entering the parking structure/lots.
