SPACE OUT AND CELEBRATE EARTH DAY AT THE CHILDREN’S ARTS FESTIVAL AND JR. HIGH ART SHOW!

THE CHILDREN’S ARTS FESTIVAL provides hands-on art activities, live music, and much more! In honor of Earth Day, festival activities will focus on being kind to our planet, so craft projects will be created from found and recycled objects easily found in the home. This year's craft theme is Kids In Space, so arts activities will be earth friendly and celestial!

JR. HIGH ART SHOW SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:  In conjunction with the annual Children’s Arts Festival, the 8th Annual Junior High Art Show is a one day exhibit at the event highlighting artwork from students of Buena Park and surrounding cities. This is a fantastic opportunity for your child or student to share their work with the community and be publically recognized for their creativity. Students are encouraged to create original art pieces that reflect the festival's annual ecology or this year’s Kids In Space theme.  Open to Jr. High student sixth grade students who attend accredited public or private schools in Buena Park or surrounding areas. Not open to after school art programs or private instruction classes.

Artwork submission deadline is Thursday, April 7, 2016 by 5:00 p.m.  All artwork will be on display during the Children's Festival on Saturday, April 23, 2016.  Ribbons and prizes will be awarded to the place winners in each grade level.  Artwork on paper must be matted and/or be mounted on mat board. Work that is not matted, mounted, or wired will not be accepted.  All artwork must be ready to hang.  No glass, framed or 3-dimential artwork will be accepted.

Students are allowed to enter a maximum of three submissions, but may only place with one entry.

All artwork must have a sheet of paper attached to the front lower hand corner with the student’s name, title of work, grade school, parent and teacher contact information.
