Pacific Playwrights Festival

Pacific Playwrights Festival

Presented by South Coast Repertory at Online/Virtual Space

April, May, and June 2021:  This year’s Pacific Playwrights Festival, a nationally renowned showcase of new works, is being offered exclusively in digital format, with high quality video production, professionally filmed with a multi-camera setup to capture the best qualities of a traditional play reading.

This year, we offer up five digital readings ranging from a Korean American family’s cross-country road-trip to a blues guitarist who may have sold his soul to the devil; from two very different women who meet in the fake paradise of a Mexican resort to a man who fled his troubles in Iran for London; and a Hollywood love story—a musical—about two of Hollywood’s unheralded magic makers. There’s something for everyone.

Each play streams for one week after its release (Monday-Sunday).
