Film at Fullerton Museum Center

Presented by Fullerton Museum Center (FMC) at Fullerton Museum Center (FMC)

The long awaited reopening of the Fullerton Museum Center includes a film event, "Have Blues Will Travel."

Join us for our reopening with a new exhibit, Have Blues, Will Travel + experience the film

Our exhibit, Have Blues, Will Travel is based on the real "Green Book" which helped traveling Blues musicians find safe places to stay, eat, and perform.

Although this film is informative, it leaves out several details about discrimination against Black people during the Great Migration and emphasized a white savior narrative. With the usage of artifacts, photographs, and songs,

Our exhibit encapsulates the true struggle that Black Blues musicians faced while traveling and shows that the "Green Book" was much more than a travel guide but rather a lifesaving tool.
