Bowers Museum presents an in-person lecture with Mark A. Johnson - The Unique Art Forms of the Kayanic Dayak People of Borneo.

Based on the recently published book, The Kayanic Tradition, Kayanic Dayak Art from Borneo. Volume I: Guardian Sculptures, author Mark A. Johnson will discuss and show examples of Kayanic Dayak art, Bornean history and culture, especially in relation to the history of the indigenous peoples of Borneo Island, as well as some background on the Austronesian peoples, who dominate this region.
