Join us at Bowers Museum for Timeless Melodies: Fred Astaire Part 1: Vaudeville & The Early Years presented by historian, Larry Maurer.
Timeless Melodies traces the early years of Fred Astaire including madcap vaudeville acts and the dancing styles before Astaire along with his sister Adele dazzled audiences on Broadway in the 1920s. By the early 1930s, Hollywood called; Adele retired and Ginger Rogers replaced her.
