Pedro Almodóvar strikes again with Parallel Mothers, a powerful new drama starring Academy Award-winner Penélope Cruz and Milena Smit now at The Frida Cinema.

Two unmarried women who have become pregnant by accident and are about to give birth meet in a hospital room. Janis (Cruz), the older of the couple, is unrepentant and happy, while Ana (Smit), a teenager, is remorseful and frightened.
