Newport Theatre Arts Center (NTAC) presents, I Hate Hamlet by Paul Rudnick.

After his TV series is cancelled, Andrew Rally moves to New York where he has been cast to play Hamlet in Central Park. His frustration grows as he tries to master Shakespeare and struggles to seduce his passionate, “virgin goddess” girlfriend Deirdre. Andrew is ready to give up when the ghost of legendary actor, swordsman and womanizer John Barrymore arrives to help Andrew get a grip on both Shakespeare and Deirdre. Throw in an eccentric real estate broker, a gleefully slimy Hollywood producer and Andrew’s no nonsense agent (who years ago had an affair with Barrymore), and you’ve got a fast-paced laugh filled comedy.
