Les Misérables, a musical adaptation of Victor Hugo's famous novel of the same name, follows the life of ex-poisoner, Jean Val Jean as he works tirelessly to escape capture by Inspector Javert. Throughout the story, other characters and social movements affect the trajectory of his life and provide their own poignant narratives and perspectives, in his search for redemption and peace.
