Bring the whole family to the Art Center to enjoy screenings of Peter Rabbit, Charlotte’s Web, and Stuart Little in the HBAC multipurpose room on select Saturdays.
The Childhood Classics: 100 Years of Children's Book Illustration exhibition is one of the most extensive presentations on the subject of children’s book illustration ever organized. The show explores the history of children’s books from the turn of the century pen and ink Mother Goose art of Sarah Noble Ives, to the most popular works of today, including the digital creations of Mo Willems.
Childhood Classics was curated from the collection of Lois Sarkisian and Lee Cohen, the co-founders of Every Picture Tells A Story – the innovative and influential gallery the couple owned and operated in Los Angeles for over a quarter century.
The exhibition and associated free public events are made possible by generous sponsorship from community leader Janet Johnson.
