We believe that dance is for everybody and every body—no dance experience is required to enjoy this fun afternoon filled with free entertainment and activities! The day will feature live performances by local groups, inclusive and interactive dance lessons in a wide range of dance styles, and the chance to learn this year’s official National Dance Day routine from a special guest artist.
1:00 – 1:15 – Group warmup with American Ballet Theatre William J. Gillespie School
1:15 – 1:45 – Broadway dance workshop with Lauren Lim Jackson
1:45 – 2:00 – TUPUA Polynesian dance
2:00 – 2:15 – Straight Up Abilities inclusive dance
2:15 – 2:35 – Music and movement workshop with Studio D: Arts School for All Abilities
2:35 – 2:45 – American Ballet Theatre William J. Gillespie School advanced students
2:45 – 3:00 – Ballet Academy & Movement contemporary dance
3:00 – 3:15 – Reverb Tap Company tap performance
3:15 – 3:30 – Breakdance performance and mini workshop with Knowledge Breaking Crew and Saint City Breakdance
3:30 – 4:00 – Bilingual, English-Spanish Latin dance workshop with Lyrik Cruz
4:00 – 5:00 – National Dance Day routine
Program announcements will be made in English and Spanish, and ASL interpreters will be available at this event
