We would like to invite you attend Vanguard Music\'s annual Spring Instrumental Concert, A Night of Musical Sojourns! Dr. Ken Foerch will be directing the university Concert Band, Jazz Ensemble, Jazz Combo, and String Orchestra as they perform a myriad of pieces by notable composers and jazz artists, such as George Gershwin, Vaughan Williams, Dizzy Gillespie, Thelonious Monk, and Brian Balmages.

Kenneth R. Foerch, DMA, is Director of the instrumental field of Vanguard University. He earned a D.M.A. degree from University of Southern California, Masters of Music from Eastman School of Music, and a Bachelor’s of Music from Michigan State University. He performs as an on-call saxophonist with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. He has also performed with the L.A. Opera, L.A. Chamber Orchestra, and Long Beach Symphony.

In 2008, he took Vanguard’s Jazz Ensemble to New York City to perform with legendary jazz trumpeter Jon Faddis. Dr. Foerch resides in La Verne with his wife Michele and daughters Sophia and Lauren.
