Balboa Island Museum proudly presents a special exhibition, For the Love of Dottie, featuring the art work of the very vibrant 96 year young artist, Dottie Siemon.

Dottie is a local artist who has lived on the island for 48 years and began painting at the age of 65.  Since beginning her artistic journey, she has attempted to paint everything in her path, including every surface in her home. Her vibrant artwork can be found on every surface in her home, including note cards, rocks, chairs, tables, cabinets, and paintings of her friends' homes.

Dottie volunteered many years ago to paint every clay pot around the island's perimeter. With a wagonload of paint and brushes, and using primary colors, the pots were decorated and signed. Many of them can still be seen today.
