Muzeo Museum and Cultural Center with the Art & Wildnerness Institute presents Mountain Lion: Tracking Climate Change. Did you know we are currently in undergoing a 6th mass extinction event? Unlike past extinctions, this one is caused by human activity: Climate Change, Habitat Loss, wildfire, drought, disease, and overpopulation. These issues loom over countless species of wildlife.
Join Sama Wareh, naturalist, author and Director of the Art and Wilderness Institute for a journey into the struggles and hurdles of conservation, through the lens of a Mountain Lion. After hearing adventurous stories and interesting facts about conservation, participants will get to enjoy a simulated quest for survival and compete against one another to make it through a wildlife corridor, thus simulating the journey of a mountain lion. After understanding the issues, learn about ways you can get involved to help curb the plight of mass extinction.
