The Costa Mesa Playhouse opens our 58th season with The Beauty Queen of Leenane by acclaimed British-Irish playwright and filmmaker Martin McDonagh (A Behanding in Spokane, The Pillowman, The Banshees of Inisherin, and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri).

Our Directors Michael Serna and Peter Kreder have assembled a seasoned cast of talent who have made their mark on Orange County’s thriving theater scene, including familiar faces from award-winning and highly received CMP productions, such as God of Carnage, Dinner With Friends, The Christians, and Clybourne Park.  To help bring McDonagh’s script to life, the Playhouse has brought in London-based dialect coach Anne Whitaker to give authenticity to the rural Galway accents.
