Saint John the Baptist Roman Catholic parish is part of the diocese of Orange. Our parish is staffed by six Norbertine priests assigned by the abbey of Saint Michael in Orange, and is under the spiritual leadership of the Rev. Augustine Puchner, O.Praem. The Norbertines of Saint Michael’s follow the nine hundred-year-old traditions of the Canons Regular of Prémontré, founded by Saint Norbert. Their primary work, as a Religious Order, is the reverent public chanting of the choir office. In addition to this, the priests serve the parish families and our TK through 8th grade school.

The parishioners of St. John the Baptist have a rich history of pulling together as a family and generously pooling time, treasure and talent to serve their parish and the community.

There are three main language groups (English, Spanish, Vietnamese) ministered to within the parish through Masses, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, prayer groups, volunteer opportunities and social events. Our parish has over 2200 registered families, and our school has over 425 students currently enrolled.

In 2006 an amazing transformation and renovation of the church building was completed. In 2010, beautiful stained glass windows were installed in the church.

SJB, as our parish is commonly known, has a rich history and is committed to inspiring all with God’s message of love, hope, and spiritual enlightenment.

We welcome you!
