Created in 1977, Ballet Repertory Theatre is a youth-based, all-volunteer dance organization based in Huntington Beach, California. The mission of this regional company is to provide serious-minded students from the well-established Orange County Dance Center with the opportunity to perform in a truly professional atmosphere. Composed of approximately 50 dancers, the company presents three different productions every year: a Spring Gala which often consists of a full-length ballet, a Fall Festival which offers a variety of classical and contemporary pieces, and the traditional holiday classic of The Nutcracker. Ballet Repertory Theatre’s main venues are the Golden West College Theater in Huntington Beach, the Rose Theater in Westminster, and the Irvine Barclay Theatre in Irvine.

The company’s extensive repertoire includes such major works as “Cinderella,” “Coppelia,” “Giselle,” “Swan Lake Act II,” “Sleeping Beauty Act III,” and Orange County’s longest-running production of “The Nutcracker.” Artistic Director Anthony Sellars, former Principal Dancer with the Houston Ballet and renowned Master Teacher, and Ballet Mistress Terri Sellars continue to delight Orange County audiences with original pieces and inspiring choreography. Productions also feature frequent appearances by guest artists from Utah’s acclaimed Ballet West, including Demi-Soloist Christopher Sellars.

Ballet Repertory Theatre supports its operations through the proceeds from performances, as well as through fundraising activities and individual donations organized and collected by the Ballet Repertory Theatre Association, a non-profit group composed solely of volunteers.
