A standards-based arts curriculum is more important than ever now that 1 out of 6 jobs in Southern California is in the creative industries.

Local arts education alliances across Orange County are working to support school districts’ strategic arts plans to ensure that every student has access to a quality, standards-based arts education.

Each local art alliance believes:

• Learning in and through the arts educates the “whole” child
• Excellent arts and cultural resources can partner with us to create outstanding schools for all of our children
• Even in tough economic times, Orange County schools must provide arts education
