Jerry Rothman is considered a leading figure in post World War II American ceramics. He has had a varied and substantial career, balancing the roles of sculptor, industrial designer, potter and teacher. His innovations revolutionized ceramic sculpture by expanding the possibilities of ceramics to create and fire larger and more complex sculptures.
