Dolphins in the Bow Stream by Tom Van Sant is a concrete wall relief. Newport Beach is a boating community which enjoys its relationships to dolphins. The challenge of this project was to represent, on a verical concrete wall, the motion of these powerful animals as seen in the bow stream of a ship. Southern California AIA Lifetime Award for artistic contribution to architecture.
