The Planter Box Art Series Sophia Lee was created by Sophia Lee.

Sophia studied Fashion at FIDM in Irvine and Fine Arts at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, exploring a different range of mediums like painting, performance art, installations, film, and computer graphics. Although most of her body of work exists on canvas, in recent years, she began creating public pieces, moving her focus beyond tradtional gallery work. By seeking a direct connection with the public, she wants to explore the existence of art in the realm of everyday life.

The project was coordinated by the City’s Public Art Committee and the Parks and Recreation Department, the project painted more than 25 planter boxes in Old Town Tustin with various designs, some reflecting Tustin’s agricultural history.
