Alex Odeh Memorial Statue

In April 1994, the Alex Odeh Memorial Statue, created by Algerian-American sculptor Khalil Bendib. It was erected in front of the Santa Ana Central Library. Alex Odeh was the west-coast regional director of the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee.

Alex Odeh was killed due to a bombing In Santa Ana the day after the ending of the Palestine Liberation Front in which Jewish American Leon Klunghoffer was killed during the PLO hijacking of the MS Achille Lauro. Alex Odeh died PLO involvement the night before he was killed.
