Entangled Bank was created by Dawn Mendelson and Piece by Piece in 2014.

Dawn Mendelson as program director of the Piece by Piece program organized the efforts of other tile artists who work through this program to create this piece. Piece by Piece is a artist program, a Skid Row Housing Trust subsidiary and a non-profit. It provides low-income and formerly homeless people free mosaic art workshops using recycled materials. These workshops are taught by female professional artists.

This 5-part mural was created by many talented participants, instructors, and volunteers. It graces the lobby of Irvine Valley College’s Life Science building, completed March 2014.
