Wyland and Malcom Elementary School Students, 2015

Wyland, known for his ocean-themed paintings, stood on a ladder painting yellow barnacles on a 40-foot-long gray whale on the side of a portable classroom. Eighty students were selected to paint alongside Wyland on that morning, and the rest of the school’s 709 kids were invited to add finifhing touches during the day.
