Following CDC guidelines, we will be opening to the public with modifications on June 13, 2020. To see the full restrictions visit https://www.missionsjc.com/digital-resource-center/

Founded in 1776, this restored mission offers a glimpse into Spanish colonial history and its influence on the area’s culture. Roam the ten-acre site guided by a digital podcast that tells the stories behind colorful gardens, preserved statues and exhibits that detail how the original inhabitants lived. Don’t forget to see Serra’s Chapel, the oldest building in California still in use today.

Our Response to COVID-19 :

In working with the CDC, State, County, and Diocesan guidelines for the care and protection of public health, we will be opening with a few modifications including:

Asking guests to bring in their own drinking water, guests to wear masks and practice social distancing at all times, encouraging membership and ticket sales to occur online or via mobile, redirecting travel ways, closing a few rooms and features temporarily, reducing occupancy in our Mission store, and more. There will not be large group tours, but there are a limited number of socially distanced tour experiences that will become available with a reservation for groups of 4 or 8 only.

Preview days for donors, members and volunteers: Thursday, June 11 and Friday, June 12.

Opening to the public: Saturday, June 13th.
