The Historic GEM Theater is true treasure. Located at the end of Historic Main Street, The GEM is surrounded by quaint restaurants and shops. A vaudeville house in the 1920s, The GEM became a single-screen neighborhood movie theater in the 1930s. The City of Garden Grove remodeled The GEM and reintroduced it as a live theatrical performance venue in 1979.

The GEM Theater is a 158-seat venue owned by The City of Garden Grove and under the management of One More Productions. In 2008, One More Productions completed a $150,000 renovation on the building, bringing the theater up to ADA code and equipping it with a new state of the art sound system, lighting system, reconfigured stage, curtains, and refurbished theater seats as well as restoring and updating the building. The GEM Theater also boats 3 separate lobbies, 2 concession areas, balcony seating and is handicap accessible.

The GEM Theater is easily accessible from the 5, 405 and 22 Freeways, houses more than ample parking and is just minutes away from several restaurants and local eateries. The GEM Theater is an ideal venue for hosting live performances as well as a variety of meetings and events.
