Marlo Bartels, 2011
With the 580 Broadway piece, viewers appreciate a five-window ceramic in a sunburst motif fitting the Art Deco theme and character of the building. Marlo Bartels produces and installs permanent wall pieces, sculpture, murals, and functional art. He works with ceramic tile, terrazzo and stone; shaping, forming and glazing the clay elements by hand.
