Man One's Good People Under Our Sun and Moon mural is bold and colorful and accessible to foot and car traffic. On the moon side of the underpass in pink and purple hues, features an abstract outline of a woman sleeping and dreaming. The sun side of the overpass is painted in blue and yellow hues. Both sides of the murals have a collective meaning of sheltering from Mother Nature's harsh elements. The murals are "based on the mythology of the sun and the moon and how it relates to our current views on housing, shelter and community," said the artist.
Part of the Clean California Initiative, which was created to support neighborhood beautification projects in California, the Placentia Gateway Public Project was created. The project funded the creation of two murals and a sculpture.
